Town Hall Meeting (11/04/2008)

All American citizens and their immediate family are invited to join Ambassador Richard Norland for a Town Hall meeting at the U.S. Embassy on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at 5:00 p.m.  Members of the U.S. Embassy will present information on Earthquake Preparedness, the Warden System, American Citizen Services, and U.S.-Uzbek relations.  Embassy staff will also be available to respond to general questions.  If you have any concerns that you would like the U.S. Embassy to address at the meeting, please send an email to consulartashkent@state.gov.  Please confirm your attendance via this email address, or by calling 120-5450, no later than November 11.  Light refreshments will be served.

The Town Hall’s program will be as follows:
5:00 p.m. – Welcome by Deputy Chief of Mission Duane Butcher
5:05 p.m. – Remarks by Ambassador Richard Norland
5:10 p.m. – Presentation by Facilities Manager Jeffrey Walker on Earthquake Preparedness/Home Safety
5:25 p.m. – Presentation by Regional Security Officer
5:35 p.m. – Presentation by Consular Section
5:45 p.m. – Additional Questions and Discussion

To facilitate your access to the Embassy, please arrive by 4:45 p.m., and bring your passport.
