Important Notice for Students - SEVIS (I-901) Fee Increase
The United States is proud of an educational system that attracts more than a half million international students and scholars to our campuses.
President Bush underscored our country's welcome when he said, "we encourage international students to take part in our educational system ...the relationships that are formed between individuals from different countries, as part of international education program and exchanges...foster goodwill that develops into vibrant, mutually beneficial partnerships among nations."
Applicants for student visas (F-1 visas for academic students; M-1 visas for vocational students), must apply in person at the U.S. Embassy. To schedule an appointment, please click here.

Applicants for student visas must be ready to present the following:
- Transcripts and diplomas from previous institutions attended;
- financial evidence that shows you or your parents who are sponsoring you have sufficient funds to cover your tuition and living expenses during the period of your intended study. For example, if you or your sponsor is a salaried employee, please bring income tax documents and original bank books and/or statements. If you or your sponsors own a business, please bring business registration, licenses, etc., and tax documents, as well as original bank books and/or statements.
