U.S. Central Command Admiral William J. Fallon Visits Uzbekistan (01/25/2008)
On January 24, the Commander for the U.S. Central Command Admiral William J. Fallon visited Uzbekistan to renew dialogue with an important regional player.
While in Tashkent, he met with the President of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov, and senior Uzbek and U.S. government officials. His discussions addressed a broad range of issues, including regional security and Afghanistan. This was Admiral Fallon’s first trip to Uzbekistan as Commander.
