Tashkent Aircraft Factory uses U.S.-produced parts and components (01/23/2008)
On January 23, 2008, Ambassador Norland visited the Chkalov Tashkent Aircraft Production Company (TAPOiCh), which is the largest aircraft assembly plant in Central Asia.
Director-General Sultanov and other TAPOiCh representatives met with the Ambassador and escorted him on a tour of the factory. Ambassador Norland was impressed by this facility and applauded Sultanov for TAPOiCh’s use of US-manufactured avionics and other components in the production of its aircraft.
