The Consular Section of the United States Embassy in Uzbekistan provides a full range of consular services, including American Citizen Services, Non-Immigrant, and Immigrant visas.
American Citizen Services
Services for United States citizens are offered Monday through Thursday from 10:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 16:00 and on Fridays from 14:00 to 16:00. Telephone calls regarding routine services are accepted Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 17:00 at (998-71) 120-5450. A duty officer is available after hours for emergency cases at (998-71) 120-5450.

Immigrant Visas
Effective June 05, all immigrant visas for residents of Uzbekistan will be processed at the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent. Please contact the Consular Section regarding immigrant visa services at tashkentiv@state.gov or telephone (998-71) 140-2217. Telephone calls are accepted Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 14:00 to 16:00.

Non-Immigrant Visas
Nonimmigrant visa applicants are accepted on an appointment basis. Appointments are scheduled via internet at this page. Initial instructions on the use of the online appointment system are posted here. The Consular Section provides expedited appointments in emergency cases as well as for applicants for student (F-1, J-1, M-1) and temporary worker (H1, L, P) visas. To request an expedited appointment, the applicants mentioned above must contact the Consular Section by E-mail (consulartashkent@state.gov) or by fax -(998-71) 120-5448 and provide their personal and passport information in addition to a short summary explaining the urgency of their application. Telephone calls are accepted on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 am till 4:30 pm. Please note that Tashkent timezone is GMT+5 hours. Please note: All applicants for nonimmigrant visas must submit the electronic application form DS-156. Handwritten applications will no longer be accepted. The DS-156 form can be completed at: http://evisaforms.state.gov .
Notarial Services
Notarial services are offered Monday through Friday between 14:00 and 16:00. Fees for notarial services range from 20 to 30 US dollars per document. Read more about Notarial Services here.
