Personal Life Planning and Achieving Your Dreams (09/28/2007)
To conclude her visit to Uzbekistan, Ms. Davis addressed a crowd of approximately 70 young people at the Embassy’s weekly Friday Chay Chat Conversation Club. In her presentation, she offered the audience strategies for "How to Achieve Your Dreams." She also once again involved all audience members in the conversation by breaking them into groups for an activity that challenged them to identify their fears and their most important life goals.
Ms. Davis then presented the audience concrete strategies for overcoming those fears and achieving their goals. Ms. Davis offered the audience a message of hope and optimism and suggested ways that they can expand their own horizons.
Ms. Davis’ visit was not all business – she also had a chance to visit some of the famous sites of Tashkent and Bukhara while she was in Uzbekistan. She appreciated the opportunity to see some of Uzbekistan’s amazing historical sites and upon entering one courtyard in Bukhara, she was struck speechless by the beauty of the colorful tiled architecture.
